*  Prefers moist, rich soil, but is very adaptable – good for wetlands

*  Flowers in May - small, white, round-topped 3-5 inch clusters

*  Fruits in fall – dark blue 2 inch clusters

*  Leaves red to deep maroon in fall – more vivid color if grown in full sun

*  Can be pruned into a tree
