1) Open up Mail Program (I.E. Outlook Express)
2) Go to: Tools / Accounts

3) highlight your mail account and click on Properties

4) Click on the “Servers” tab
5) Click on the “My server requires authentication” under Outgoing Mail server
6) Click on the “Settings” button

7) Make sure that “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” is selected
8) Click OK button
9) Click Apply button

Go to Tools / E-Mail Accounts

Highlight your email account / click on change or properties

Click on the “servers” tab (outgoing)

Make sure that “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” is checked.

Select “Use same settings as my incoming mail server”

Click OK to save settings

Select Mail / Preferences

Click the Accounts button, located at the top of the window

Click on your account in the left side pane

Outgoing Mail server: smtp.evertek.net

Click on the “Server Settings” button

Click the Use Authentication checkbox

Select Authentication of “Password”

In the user name box – enter your entire email address

In the Password box – enter your email password

From the Tools choose Options. That brings up the window where you put in your mail settings

Click on Getting Started

SMTP Server (Outgoing): smtp.evertek.net

Check "Allow Authentication"

Select Entourage / Account Settings .

Click the Mail tab.

Double-click your mail account, as it appears in the list.

Sending Mail Section

In the SMTP server box, enter the secure server name: smtp.evertek.net

Click the Click here for advanced sending options button

Be sure that the SMTP server requires authentication box is checked

Click the OK button

Go to "Tools -> Account Settings -> Outgoing Server (SMTP)".

Select the server and press the Edit... button.

Check the "Use name and password" option

Add your username. Your username will be your full e-mail address

Click "OK".

Thunderbird will ask you for your password the first time you send email and you can optionally save it at that time.
