Protect yourself & help us protect everyone by marking suspicious emails as spam

Watch out for suspicious emails like this; mark as Spam and delete!

The bad guys are always coming up with new ways to scam you and gather your private information. Be on the lookout for suspicious emails and help us protect you and everyone by marking these emails as spam.

Watch Out For:

  1. Emails that come from a questionable address. Don’t just look at the display name. Hover over the address to reveal the full email address. A legit company will have its own domain (such as @evetek.net or @amazon.com, etc)

  2. Is the language questionable, are there spelling or grammar errors? Are different fonts or characters used?

  3. Are there clickable links that ask you to ‘verify information’?

  4. Never provide your password, credit card information or other personal or sensitive info.

  5. Does the email create a sense or urgency or state threatening consequences if you don’t act immediately?

  6. Don’t click on attachments - they may contain viruses or malware intended to attack your device.

  7. Call the company the email is supposedly sent from and confirm their request.

  8. Trust your intuition - if it seems suspicious, it probably is.

Mark It As Spam - if you suspect the message is spam, click the Spam button and delete the email. Watch the video to learn more.
